“Let me start by telling you a little bit about myself. My name is John Catalfomo. I have been in the construction business for over forty years. In that time, I have seen work by licensed contractors that is embarassing and makes us all look bad and untrustworthy. I, myself, adopted one rule of business. If it is not good enough for my home, don’t do it to someone else’s home.
My younger son, Robert, had his home sided with Hardie siding. I did not know much about your product, so I could not really advise him on it. Fortuntately, he used a company owned by a young man named Rob Foreman, owner of Premier Building.
As this job was being done, I watched every day. I was amazed at the care and pride taken to do this job correctly. The saying, “old world craftsmanship,” was something of the past, or so I thought. This young man and his old company, “Premier Building” was a breath of fresh air. Rob Foreman has the same work and moral ethics as me. I would rather lose money on a job than not do it right.
After my son’s home was done, I went over it with the most critical eyes, looking for something, anything that was not perfect. This job was done perfectly. Just because you (Hardie) make a great product, does not mean you get a great job. It has to be done by a company with highly skilled craftsmen.
I do not take the time to write letters about other contractors. But when a company does work like this, someone should know about them. I can tell you this – I would never recommend a contractor for any kind of job. The reason I would never recommend a contractor is simple, they are a reflection of me. I have given Rob Foreman and Premier Building my recommendation to many people. I hope this helps you appreciate who represents your product and why I was compelled to write this letter.”
